The agreement between you and davetti — what we promise, what we ask of you, and what happens when a party doesn't go to plan.

davetti is operated by Yeppler Gastronomy und Imports GbR, Tegelbergweg 4, 89231 Neu-Ulm, Germany. These terms apply every time you use davetti — as a host planning a party, as a guest who followed an invitation link, or as a vendor offering your services.
davetti is a planning tool and a marketplace. We help you build an invitation, collect replies, keep a gift list and find vendors. We do not run your party ourselves, and we are not the provider of the services a vendor sells to you.
By creating a party, replying to an invitation or listing a service, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use davetti.
Hosts and vendors need an account. You are responsible for keeping access to your phone number or email, because that is how we sign you in — anyone who can read your one-time code can reach your account.
Guests do not need an account. An invitation reaches you as a private link, and that link is the key: anyone holding it can see the party and reply on your behalf. Treat it like the invitation card it replaces, and tell the host if you think it has gone astray so they can reissue it.
As a host you decide who is invited, what the party page says, and what data your guests are asked for. That makes you responsible for the content you publish and for the people you invite — including handling their details respectfully and only for the party.
You keep control: you can edit, unpublish or delete a party at any time. Unpublishing takes the guest link out of service immediately, so use it deliberately — a guest who tries an old link will see nothing.
Replying to an invitation is free, and you never have to create an account to do it. What you send — your reply, your headcount, a note about allergies — goes to the host of that party, because that is the whole point of sending it.
You can change or withdraw your reply while the party is still open. If you want the host to delete what you sent, ask them; if you would rather ask us, write to us and we will pass it on and act on our own copies.
A host can publish a gift list. Guests can claim an item, or chip in towards a shared item along with other guests. When enough has been pledged, the pool closes and the gift is arranged.
Group gifting has one rule worth reading twice: a pool that does not reach its target, or that the host cancels, is unwound and every contributor is refunded to the method they paid with. We do not keep an unfinished pool, and we do not convert it into credit.
Vendors on davetti are independent businesses. When you book one, the contract for that service is between you and the vendor. We provide the listing, the calendar and the payment rails, and we hold the money until the booking is settled — but the entertainer, the venue and the cake are theirs to deliver, not ours.
Each vendor sets its own cancellation window, and it is shown on the offering before you pay. Cancel inside that window and you are refunded under those terms; cancel outside it and the vendor may keep some or all of the fee.
If a vendor doesn't turn up or delivers something materially different from what was listed, tell us. We will not decide the dispute for you, but we will help you reach the vendor, and we can withhold or return the payment where the evidence supports it.
If you list on davetti, you promise your listing is accurate, that you hold the licences and insurance your trade requires, and that you will honour the availability you publish.
Payments are handled by our payment provider. We don't see or store your full card number. Every price on davetti is shown in the currency you are charged in, including tax where it applies.
Planning a party on davetti is free for hosts and guests. Where we do charge — a vendor's commission, a service fee on a booking — it is shown before you confirm, never added afterwards.
When a refund is due, it goes to the method you paid with. We start it as soon as the reason is settled; how quickly it lands is up to your bank.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract concluded online, without giving a reason.
Two everyday exceptions matter here. Services tied to a specific date — a booking for the afternoon of the party — are exempt from the withdrawal right, which is why a vendor's own cancellation window applies instead. And where you ask us to begin a digital service immediately and confirm you understand it, the right ends once we have done so.
To withdraw where the right does apply, a plain message to us saying so is enough. You do not need a form.
Photos, party text, gift descriptions, vendor listings — they stay yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, resize it, and show it to the people you have shared it with.
We use that permission for nothing else. We do not put your party photos in our marketing, and we do not sell them.
Only upload what you have the right to upload. If something on davetti infringes your rights, write to us and we will act on it.
A short list, and it is the obvious one.
If you break these, we may remove content, suspend your account, or cancel a listing. Where the breach is serious or repeated we will do so without notice.
davetti is built around children's birthdays, so children's details pass through it — a name, an age, sometimes an allergy. That data belongs to the child, and the parent or guardian decides about it.
Accounts are for adults. A child does not sign up; a parent creates the party, and a parent replies for their child. If you are a host, only publish a child's details when their parent would expect it.
We aim to keep davetti available, but we can't promise it never goes down. Maintenance, an outage at a provider, or a fault can interrupt it.
We improve the product continuously, and features change. If we make a change that materially reduces what you already paid for, we will tell you before it takes effect and you may cancel.
We will give you reasonable notice before withdrawing a feature you depend on, and long enough to export what you need.
We are fully liable for injury to life, body or health, for intent and gross negligence, and under the German Product Liability Act. Nothing in these terms limits that.
For ordinary negligence we are liable only where we breach an obligation that is essential to the contract — one you must be able to rely on for davetti to work at all — and then only for the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract.
Beyond that we are not liable. In particular we are not liable for what a vendor does or fails to do, for a party that doesn't go to plan, or for content another user publishes.
You can close your account whenever you like, from your account settings. Closing it deletes your parties and your personal data, except records we are legally required to keep — an invoice, for instance, has a statutory retention period.
We may close an account that breaches these terms, or one dormant for a very long time. Unless the breach is serious, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
German law applies, without its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in — this clause cannot take that away.
We would much rather sort a problem out directly, so please write to us first. The EU also runs an online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
