About davetti

In a world where businesses dream bigger — millions of users, billions in value — we choose to think small. One celebration made a little easier. One local business given a chance. One child with a memory that stays long after the candles are gone.

Small is also where the work actually is. A group chat where the reply you needed scrolled away last Tuesday. A half-finished list of who's coming. Three identical LEGO sets already travelling toward the same kitchen table. And a Saturday still without anyone to entertain twelve six-year-olds.

None of it is hard. It is only scattered.

So that is what davetti does: it gathers the invitation, the replies, the gifts and the people you hire onto one calm page. Not to make the day bigger — to give it back to you, so you get to be at your own party.

If we say people matter more than scale, the product has to prove it. These are five decisions we made early and have not reversed.

• A guest should never have to sign up. An invitation is a link. You open it, you reply, you're done. No account, no password, no app.
• The price on the screen is the price. Nothing appears between confirming and paying.
• Your guest list is not a mailing list. We don't sell it, we don't advertise to it, and it goes when the party goes.
• Local businesses, not a directory. The vendors here are real, nearby, and keep their actual availability in the calendar you're booking against.
• Everyone's language. davetti works in eight languages, including right-to-left, because the families at a German school party don't all speak German at home.

I came to Germany with only a few hundred euros and the hope that this country might hold a place for me. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being the country I had come to and became home. I found opportunities here, but also something much more important: friendships, trust, a sense of belonging, and the chance to build a life.

davetti comes from that gratitude. It is our small way of giving something back: helping families celebrate, helping local businesses become part of those celebrations, and hopefully creating a few more moments worth remembering.

We hope davetti grows — more cities, more vendor categories, and the small things that make a party easier: better printed invitations, smarter reminders, a hand with the thank-you notes. But bigger was never the point.

If something is missing, tell us. A surprising amount of what's here started as an email from a parent who was annoyed about something. Keep sending those, and we will keep doing this one celebration at a time — which is growth enough for us.
